Beirut International Airport is currently Lebanon’s sole airport and is located 7 km south of Beirut.

At your arrival, you can take a taxi from the airport. It is about 40 minutes away from Ghazir.

GET AROUND

Ghazir is a Lebanese village located in the heart of Mount-Lebanon, Keserwan, with a proximity to the ancient Byblos city and the beach. Ghazir has been inhabited since prehistoric times; two caves were found in the Roman Bridge vicinity, yielded flint stones, whereas, bones and pottery dating from the Paleolithic period. In 1711, the Chehab, governors of Mount Lebanon, settled down in Ghazir, where they have chose to govern from. In 1804 Prince Hassan Chehab began the construction of his palace alqayssariya and a souk for regional trades. Until the end of XIXth century,Ghazir was a political and economic center, thus, several typical XIXth century triple arches houses were built. In 1905 a new serial was built by Mouzaffar Bacha, the Ottoman Moutassaref of Mount Lebanon. Currently, Ghazir is actually regaining its position as a main hub in the Keserwan region.
